The Queen Bees extended their season winning streak to 3 games on Sunday
with a 9-1 win away at Swindon TopCats in a challenge match.
The Queen Bees travelled to face the current Division
One champions in a warm-up match for next weekend’s road trip to
Newcastle and Kingston-upon-Hull with only 8 players and a goaltender due
to sicknesses and work commitments but put in a fine performance to
dominate their hosts.
Dani Summers (3), Sam Phillips (3), Sam Bidmead (2)
and Lydia Westcombe all found the net for the Queen Bees whilst Rhian
Galea faced 28 shots from Swindon in the Bracknell net.
Queen Bees’ player-of-the-match was Chrissy Newman.
The Queen Bees now look to maintain their position at
the top of the Women’s Premier League with their trip north next weekend
facing Newcastle at 4:30pm on Saturday and Kingston at 12:30pm on Sunday.
